HOW DID WE END UP HERE?

I’m on my third coffee for the day and I’ve written a slightly different version each time... I really hope this is the one.
So, out of the blue this blog is born, anyone reading this is probably a slight bit shocked that this ‘Monday thing’ has blown into this.. but there’s a good reason for it, in my opinion.
Well, I started ‘Mondays are not for work’ because I felt I needed a day for myself to create ‘things’. The weekends were never enough and the dread of going to work made me realise that i want to flip the script and replace the single most hated day on the planet and fall in love with it. A small step towards finding my freedom. So I started posting on my Instagram and I’m actually surprised that I didn’t get hate for it. I thought people might be annoyed that I’m flaunting the fact I had the day off but it was the opposite. Most people were actually happy for me and they kinda wanted to see how I’d spend my day.
I think it was 11th of December 2023 that I posted the first story for MANFW so according to Chatgpt, it’s been about 83 Mondays from there til now. I’m happy to say that majority of them (like 80%) I had the choice to dictate how my day went. I honestly think it’s had an impact on my overall mood and morale. Not to mention the days I’ve been able to go out take photos, spend with friends and the copious amounts of coffee I’ve consumed (apparently $648 spent on Coffee alone, also courtesy of Chatgpt).
Unless you followed me, you probably had no idea about this Monday thing..so that’s where this blog comes in. Not only does it permanently sit somewhere for you to read whenever, it’s a good way for me to track my Mondays..and hopefully inspire some to rethink how they start their week. I do have to say, I am in a privileged position to be able to do this and not every can afford to but we’ll get into this another time.
Today’s write up is a messy one, it’ll improve over time (i think). I told myself, today something has to launch, doesn’t matter if there are typos or errors, or even if I just waffle, I have to release this today. So bare with me.
Today’s goal was to launch the site and do the pilot blog. Majority of the day was spent trying to create this website (this is day number 3) so there might glitches here and there.
So, what can people expect to see every Monday?
Ummmm you’re just gonna have to come back here and find out.
